2. General

This website does not use cookies or any tracking or analytics scripts, and it does not embed third-party content (no external fonts, maps, videos or social media plugins). Personal data is processed only to the extent described below.

3. Hosting and visiting the website

The website runs on a rented server from a hosting provider in Austria.

When you visit the website, your browser sends technically necessary data to the server, in particular your IP address, the requested page and information about your browser and operating system. This data is used to establish the connection and deliver the page.

For anonymous visitor statistics (e.g. number of visits per day, most visited pages), the web server records each request in a log file: time, requested page, referrer and information about the browser and operating system. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored (for IPv4 the last block is removed, for IPv6 everything after the first 48 bits), so it cannot be traced back to you. The log files are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest and are not passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website and in simple visitor statistics).

4. Contact by e-mail

If you send me an e-mail, I process the data it contains (e.g. name, e-mail address and the content of the message) to answer your request. E-mails are stored with an e-mail provider based in the EU. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed. If a contract results, it is kept for the statutory retention periods (in particular § 132 BAO, seven years).

5. Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

To exercise these rights, just e-mail lukas@schoepf-tech.at. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
